ISLAMABAD (Rehman): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday underlined the need that Islamabad and Washington should bolster steps to bridge the mutual trust deficit.
Gilani expressed these views while talking to General Davis Patraeus, the US Central Command Chief and Isaf commander in Afghanistan General McCrystal at the PM House.
Gilani told the international community should come forward with adequate financial assistance to help Pakistan for relief and reconstruction in the areas affected due to military operation against terrorism.
He also noted Pakistan Army’s sacrifices in the war on terror, adding it had the support of national political leadership in its military action.

Gilani also on Monday met the US Central Command Chief General David Petraeus and Isaf commander in Afghanistan General McCrystal.
General David Petraeus and General McCrystal arrived here on Monday are also due to meet the Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani during their visit.
According to the sources, both general they would hold talks to provide weapons for monitoring the conversation of militants besides the glasses which are used to see at night.
They would also discuss provision of more gunship helicopters besides Kerry-Lugar bill. Both are set to exchange detailed views on the ongoing war on terrorism and military operation to flush out militants from the rugged South Waziristan tribal region
