LAHORE (rehmankhan66gmail.com): Funeral prayer of famous religious scholar Dr Sarfraz Ahmed Naeesmi was obtainable at Nasir Bagh here Saturday, reports (Rehman)Thousands of devotees attend the funeral of Maulana Naeemi who was slain yesterday in a suicide attack at Jamia Naeemi, Lahore along with four others.Naeemi’s son led the prayer that was also attended by several politicians, provincial ministers and government officials.Punjab government had announce a public holiday in Lahore today (Saturday) to avoid any annoying situation on Naeemi’s funeral, it was reported.At the occasion, foolproof security planning were made and heavy contingents of police and other paramilitary forces were deployed around the funeral site.Emotional scenes were also witnessed at the occasion with devotees mourning the death of Dr Naeemi and chanting slogans against the killers and the government, the channel said.
